Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data TechPMer collects, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the course.
TechPMer is operated by Arman Gevorgyan, an individual based in Yerevan, Armenia (“TechPMer”, “we”). Questions: support@techpmer.com.
What we collect
- Account data — email address, name, profile photo (if you sign in with Google), sign-in method and account creation date. Guests use an anonymous session without an email.
- Learning data — course progress, completed tasks and days, quiz results, notes, job applications you track, settings and your course start date.
- AI mentor conversations — messages you send to the mentor and its replies, saved to your account so you can see your history, plus a daily count of AI replies (to apply plan limits).
- Purchase data — if you buy Pro: that you bought it, when, and the order reference. Card and billing details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card number.
- Email preferences — whether you want to receive news and offers.
- Technical data — your approximate country and city when you sign up (derived from your IP address by our hosting provider), and standard server logs such as IP address, browser and time of request, used for security and debugging.
- Usage analytics (only if you accept) — pages viewed and actions such as completing a day, finishing a quiz or starting checkout, linked to a random account ID (never your email). Collected with Google Analytics.
- Error reports — if the app crashes, a technical error report (what went wrong, browser, page, your random account ID — no email or IP address).
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use advertising trackers or ad cookies.
Why we use it
- To provide the course: save your progress, unlock the right weeks for your plan, and sync across devices.
- To run the AI mentor and quizzes, and to enforce fair daily limits.
- To process your Pro purchase and give you access.
- To send account emails (like password resets) and, unless you opt out, occasional news and offers.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
Legal bases (for users in the EU/UK): performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and your consent where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who processes your data for us
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy terms:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, database (your account, progress, notes, mentor history).
- OpenAI — generates AI mentor replies and quizzes from the messages and course context we send. Under OpenAI’s API terms, API data is not used to train their models by default.
- Polar — sells TechPMer Pro as merchant of record and processes payments, invoices and taxes.
- Resend — sends our emails.
- Google Analytics (via Firebase) — usage analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies. Advertising features are off.
- Sentry — error monitoring, so we can fix bugs.
- Vercel and Cloudflare — hosting, network, domain and email forwarding.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We rely on their standard safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Account, learning data and mentor history: while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page — this deletes your account and saved data.
- Daily AI usage counters: about 35 days.
- Analytics data: kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months. Error reports: kept by Sentry for up to 90 days.
- Purchase records: as long as needed for tax and accounting (our payment provider also keeps its own records).
- Server logs: kept briefly by our hosting providers.
Your rights and choices
- Access or copy your data, or ask us to correct it — email us.
- Delete your account and data — on the Account page, or email us.
- Stop marketing emails — use the “Unsubscribe” link in any email, or the toggle on your Account page.
- Turn analytics off — decline in the cookie banner or switch it off on your Account page.
- If you’re in the EU/UK you may also object to or restrict processing, ask for data portability, and complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and to remember settings (like dark mode) and progress for guests. These are necessary for the site to work and don’t need consent.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, e.g. _ga) are only set if you click “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time on your Account page (“Privacy & cookies”). We don’t use advertising cookies.
Children
TechPMer is intended for adults and professionals. It isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app.
